Yet another addition has been made to the Google Apps library, and that is Google Wave! It is billed as an online collaboration tool for projects that makes communication amongst often far-flung people much easier. I am thinking that this would be a great tool for organizations like the Knights of Columbus or Masons to assist their members in planning and implementing programs and activities. In addition, I am looking for ways that I can use this in my law office as a way of communicating with clients. Check out Wave at these sites: In the meantime, I have created an account for myself under my personal e-mail address. If you are on the Wave, feel free to join me! |

Recently I became involved with an organization called the New Jersey Bankruptcy Law Foundation and a program they have called the Financial Literacy Project (FLiP). This project gives a 40-60 minute presentation to high school seniors in such things as how to get a loan, how credit scores are established, how credit cards work, and identity theft. I have participated in several of thes, and the students always get a lot out of it. Hopefully, they will graduate high school with a good sense of financial responsibility and awareness of credit, how it can help you, and how it can hurt you. If any of you out there are attorneys and would like to get involved, please follow the link above and contact the coordinator for your county. You won't regret it! |
